Here’s a few from a series of interviews that we shot and edited together for the Maryland Ensemble Theatre’s play “Dusty and the big bad world”. They uploaded the interviews to Youtube, as well as posted the links on FaceBook and Twitter, which really helped to get the word out about this play. Shooting a Music Video?

We shoot music videos! A music video is, in its most basic form, a visual part of a short film that accompanies a song. Why shoot a music video? Because music videos help to both market and promote musical recordings (and one inexpensive way to promote your music with a music video is to post them on Youtube, Vimeo, or other online video outlet).

Music videos can be as simple as shooting a single person, whether it be a singer or rapper, drummer, pianist, or guitarist, in front of an audience of teddy bears, or a music video can be as complicated as shooting an entire world tour. We can add compositing into the mix and do stop-motion animation to make your music video stand out and really help promote your music.

High Definition

Crimson Chain Productions shoots both film and High Definition. Our cameras are setup for global work and are capable of recording in all worldwide formats (NTSC or PAL)! This means we can shoot high quality HD or SD footage anywhere in the world that you need us to go!

And it’s here – our Professional HD35 package. It’s a cross between High Definition and 35mm, and it’s beautiful. You get the ability to control the Shallow Depth of Field, as with 35mm, along with the immediacy of High Definition. We liked it so much we shot a feature film with it!

Filming with 35mm Cinema Cameras

Crimson Chain Productions is setup to shoot on 35mm film, if your production needs it (if not, see our High Definition Video page). We own two 35mm cinema cameras, which means you don’t have to pay those excessively expensive rental fees, which can add thousands to a commercial budget.

These Konvas 35mm cinema cameras are setup to do commercial work with their beautiful, sharp, and contrasty cinema lenses. Although we have zooms, we really like to use our complete set of prime lenses. Prime lenses mean less glass to go through, resulting in a sharper picture. We own a wide variety of lenses, including a set of anamorphic lenses, so that the budget doesn’t have to be inflated by expensive lens rental fees either. We aim to please.

Green Screen & Blue Screen Studio in Maryland

Did we mention that we have a studio set up strictly for chroma keying? Our studio bay, at 27′ deep, 18′ wide and 16′ tall, is large enough for almost any major production work that needs the use of chroma keying technology. Our Blue Screen/Green Screen Studio, located 45 minutes West of Baltimore and one hour north of Washington DC, comes complete with painted walls and floors, and can be leased on an hourly schedule, if needed.

The walls even have preset lighting for fast turn-around work (no worrying about getting the screen lit properly, its already been done, so you can put all your focus into lighting the talent). Plus we have a bonus: a second equally large bay for the production crew to use. The entire studio totals over 900 square feet of usable space to place the camera, cast, and crew!
